Home Church

“Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.  Try always to be led along together by the Holy Spirit, and so be at peace with one another.”

Ephesians 4:2-3 [LNT]

David grew up as a PK (Pastor’s Kid) yet never considered becoming a Pastor.    However, several years ago some friends started gathering with us in our home motivated by the desire to go deeper in the Word and in our relationships to each other.  We focused our teaching on the book of Acts diligently seeking to understand more of God’s design for His Body while exploring how to put into practice what we were discovering.  In the process this group of friends has become a family, one that cherishes the trust and intimacy that characterizes our group.

Some of the original families have since moved away, but others have come, drawn to this gathering through relationships and the invitations of those who are a part of this group.  Each time a new person or family joins our fellowship they bring new life and diverse gifts to our church.

Out of this gathering has grown a weekly Bible study, as well as other activities throughout the year.  The members have grown in their leadership within the church as well, participating in the areas of teaching, music, and the children’s and youth ministry.  Likewise our members are involved in projects that serve the community on a regular basis through reflecting God and His love in their professions as well as volunteering on house building projects; collaborating with a home for abused woman and their children; participating in the monthly Leadership Breakfast; and helping those in need in small ways on a daily basis.
